Projects

In the fall of 2018 I started as associate of SRK Exploration Services the Bjerkreim project for Norge Mining (later for subsidiary Norge Mineraler). Activities included first an extensive channel sampling project in the spring of 2019, overseeing a regional helicopter-borne geophysical project in the fall of 2019 and thereafter setting up an extensive exploration drilling project that started in 2020 and lasted until 2023. Besides designing the first phase of the drilling campaign, this included providing the geological background for the project, dealing with original stakeholder contacts (landowners, municipality, transport authorities, local contractors, etc.), attracting geologists and assistants for the growing project. This resulted, amongst others, in the changing of the plans for the new expansion of the E39 motorway. Geological highlight was the discovery, together with Jon Russill of SRK ES, of the previously unknown Skeipstad Vanadium-titanium deposit (JORC mineral resource estimate of 192 million tonnes, containing mean grades of 0.12% V2O5, 10.37% TiO2 and 6.04% Fe3O4). In 2022/23 the sale of the Råna exploration license, which I held together with partners in Scandinavian Resource Holdings, to Kingsrose Mining Ltd and Metals One Plc. Since 2021 I have been working as consultant for Zawar Natural Resources Pvt. Ltd. and its Greenlandic subsidiary Zawar Greenland ApS. Together with Denis Schlatter of Helvetica Exploration Services GmbH I am running the Saqqaq gold exploration project in West Greenland. The most recent result has been setting up an exploration drilling campaign to test the down-dip, underground continuation of the shear zone hosted gold occurrence that is exposed at surface.
